There are three main ways to disable incognito mode on Android:

Method 1: Using Google Family Link

Google Family Link is a parental control app that allows you to manage your children’s Android devices If you have children, you may want to disable incognito mode using Google Family Link. To disable incognito mode use Google Family Link:

  2. Tap the child’s name whose incognito mode you want to disable.

There are a number of third-party apps available that can disable incognito mode on Android. Some popular options include:

  • Incoquito
  • Block Incognito Mode
  • Incognito Blocker

In my personal opinion to get rid of Incognito mode completely from your Android there is an app called Incognito Away APK, So when you download and install the Incognito Away APK it will ask you for a few permissions such as notification formations when you get unable to this it will block the Incognito mode permanently.  so anyone who is trying to open the Incognito tab will not work at all.

By using this app it can be able to stop Incognito mode from creating a tab or from anyone creating an Incognito tab and using it.

To use a third-party app to disable incognito mode, simply download and install the app from the Google Play Store. Once installed, open the app and follow the instructions to disable incognito mode.

Method 3: Editing the Android system files

Editing the Android system files is the most advanced method for disabling incognito mode on Android. It is important to note that editing the system files can potentially damage your device, so you should only attempt this method if you are comfortable doing so.

To disable incognito mode by editing the system files:

  1. Connect your Android device to your computer using a USB cable.
  2. Open a file explorer window on your computer.
  3. Navigate to the following directory:
/system/build.prop
  1. Right-click the build.prop file and select Open with.
  2. Select a text editor, such as Notepad or TextEdit.
  3. Add the following line to the end of the file:
ro.zygote.disable_incognito=1
  1. Save the file and close the text editor.
  2. Disconnect your Android device from your computer.
  3. Restart your Android device.

Once you have restarted your device, incognito mode will be disabled.

Stop Incognito Mode?

Stopping incognito mode means that you are simply closing the incognito tabs that you have open. This will not delete your browsing history, cookies, or site data from the incognito session. When you open incognito mode again, all of your previous incognito activity will still be there.

Disable Private Tabs Permanently?

Disabling incognito mode permanently means that you are preventing your browser from opening incognito tabs at all. This can be done using parental control apps, third-party apps, or by editing the Android system files. When incognito mode is disabled, you cannot open incognito tabs, even if you try.

Turning off incognito mode is the same as stopping incognito mode. It simply means that you are closing the incognito tabs that you have open.

Closing the tabs from Google Chrome can be done for both incognito and non-incognito tabs. When you close a tab on Android, all of the data associated with that tab is deleted, including your browsing history, cookies, and site data.

So, the difference between stopping incognito mode and disabling incognito mode permanently is:

  • Stopping incognito mode closes the incognito tabs that you have open, but your browsing history, cookies, and site data from the incognito session will still be there.
  • Disabling incognito mode permanently prevents your browser from opening incognito tabs at all.
