However, some users may want to uninstall Nova Launcher for various reasons, such as switching to a different launcher or simply no longer needing it.
Below I am sharing all the steps or a step-by-step guide with screenshots you would find easier to do on your smartphone. You can follow this tutorial on Samsung or any smartphone from any brand.
1. Open Mobile settings.
2. Get into the apps.
3. Select ‘Choose default app.’
4. Tap on Home App. Here you will find the Nova launcher selected as the default launcher.
5. Choose any other launcher app.
6. Get back into the all-apps list.
7. Find and select Nova launcher.
8. Tap uninstall.
9. Confirm uninstalling.
Additionally, you should back up your home screen layout and app settings before uninstalling Nova Launcher. This can be done using third-party apps like Nova Backup or Titanium Backup.
If you currently have Nova Launcher as your smartphone’s default launcher, you may encounter difficulties uninstalling it. The reason is quite simple: when Nova Launcher is being actively used as the default launcher, it cannot be uninstalled.

1. Open the Google play store.
2. Search for Nova Launcher.
3. Tap uninstall.
4. Confirm your action, and Done.
